David Louie and business partner Damien Hatfield have joined Ascalon Capital Managers, with Louie appointed to a senior sales role and Hatfield to head up Ascalon's distribution. Hatfield and Louie will retain their third party marketing firm, Triple A Partners.

According to a media report, Tyndall AM's head of sales and marketing, Matt Russell, has departed the organisation.

Redundancy for Tyndall Head of Alternatives

According to a media report, Tyndall AM has made Tim Martin, head of alternatives since June 2012, redundant after making a decision to fold its alternatives business in with the management of core asset classes.

New Deputy Chair for AustralianSuper

Dave Oliver, current Secretary of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, has been appointed deputy chair of industry fund AustralianSuper following the departure of Paul Howes. Oliver has been a director of the board since July 2007.

TAL appoints new chair

Duncan Boyle has been announced as the new chair of the TAL board. Boyle was appointed as a director in May this year and will replace retiring chair Rob Thomas.

OneVue appoints Foley as Deputy CEO

Following the announcement that OneVue will acquire Select Asset Management, Brendan Foley, chairman and CEO of Select, will be appointed deputy CEO of OneVue. Two other Select directors will also be appointed to OneVue's executive team.

Scott McDine

New member director for AustralianSuper

AustralianSuper has appointed Scott McDine as a member director of the board. McDine is the National Secretary of the Australian Workers' Union (AWU). McDine previously served on the Board of CBUS as alternate director from 2011 and director from 2013 to 2014.

CEO of Mariner Corporation departs

Mariner Corporation chief executive and managing director Darren Olney-Fraser has resigned with immediate effect. Olney-Fraser held the top position for almost four years before departing the organisation.

Mariner Chair resigns

As announced to the Australian Securities Exchange, the chair of Mariner Corporation Limited, Don Christie, has resigned from his role. Christie was appointed chair in 2010. His resignation comes two weeks after the resignation of CEO Darren Olney-Fraser.
