Perpetual lists ethical fund

By Penny Pryor

Perpetual has listed its Perpetual Ethical SRI Fund on the Australian Stock Exchange as an unquoted managed fund (ASX:GIVE).

The listed version is an opportunity to invest in the fund that has commenced in 2008 and is currently available on a number of platforms. Listing the fund gives an opportunity for investors to invest directly.

The fund does not invest in companies that derive 5 per cent of their revenue from the manufacture or sale of generally ethically unacceptable products and services such as alcohol, gambling, fossil fuels (upstream) and pornography. Companies are also screened for how their practices impact society and the environment.

The fund is managed by Nathan Hughes, who has been at Perpetual for over a decade.
