JPMorgan launches active global sustainable infrastructure ETF

By Penny Pryor

JP Morgan has launched the JPMorgan Sustainable Infrastructure Active ETF on the Australian Stock Exchange.

The fund invests at least 80 per cent of its assets in equity securities of companies with exposure to the theme of sustainable infrastructure.

JP Morgan says structural changes - such as climate change, demographic shifts and urbanisation - are creating huge demand for infrastructure, which presents a unique investment opportunity.

The fund is a high-conviction portfolio of companies that provide the infrastructure to support these major structural trends. The three sub-themes the fund focuses on are environmental resilience, social infrastructure, and improved connectivity.

There are no geographic limits on the fund which may also invest in Chinese assets. It has management fees and costs of 0.55 per cent and is managed by portfolio managers Sara Bellenda, Victor Li and Fred Barasi.
