BetaShares Australian Small Companies Select Fund

BetaShares has launched the Australian Small Companies Select Fund (the Fund) (ASX: SMLL), effective 1 May 2017.

The Fund aims to outperform the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Accumulation Index over the medium to long term (after fees and expenses) by investing in a portfolio of high quality, profitable small companies.

The Fund will typically hold 50-100 stocks, drawn from ASX-listed stocks outside the 100 largest companies, but generally within the 350 largest companies by market capitalisation. BetaShares' SMLL will cost 0.39% p.a., not including performance fees.

In addressing the Fund's fee structure, BetaShares said: "SMLL breaks new ground, as the fund's competitive fee structure strongly aligns the interests of the manager with the outcome for investors."
