Yellow Brick Road appoints General Manager

Yellow Brick Road (YBR) has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Glenn Gibson as its new general manager, effective 9 April 2018.

Gibson previously spent eight years at AMP Bank - most recently as head of marketing and sales, and previously as national sales manager for third-party distribution.

Commenting on his appointment, YBR executive chair, Mark Bouris, said: "Our franchise network is the heart of the YBR brand, and we are committed to having great people driving it. Glenn's going to be taking on the job at a time when we have some fantastic technology and products rolling out nationally. It's an exciting time for him to join us."

Gibson added: "I think the key to success in this role will be understanding value of the brand to our franchisees, and value of being a broker or adviser in the current market. I'll focus on cementing our value proposition and making the most of the opportunity that YBR has in the marketplace."

"I have hands-on experience in franchisor operations, but also understand how the decisions they make impact the self-employed franchisees who live the brand every day. I think that's a good starting point for me to engage with the Yellow Brick Road network."

He will replace general manager, lending, Andrew Rasby, who departs at the end of March after 17 months in the role.
