Yarra Capital Management announces Head of Australian Equities Research

At the completion of the management buyout of Goldman Sachs Asset Management's (GSAM) Australian funds management platform and investment capabilities, it has been announced that Katie Hudson will take the reins as the new firm's head of Australian equities research and small cap PM.

Hudson is currently the managing director at GSAM.

A spokesperson has confirmed that the buyout is on track for completion at the end of December 2016 and that the firm will be rebranded as Yarra Capital Management.

In her new role at Yarra Capital Management, Hudson will join former Future Fund head, Mark Burgess, who takes on the role of independent chair; Dion Hershan, as managing director and head of equities; Roy Keenan, as head of fixed income and multi-sector; and Brett Davidson, as chief operating officer.
