At the completion of the management buyout of Goldman Sachs Asset Management's (GSAM) Australian funds management platform and investment capabilities, it has been announced that Dion Hershan will take the reins as the new firm's managing director and head of equities.
Hershan is currently head of Australian equities at GSAM.
A spokesperson has confirmed that the buyout is on track for completion at the end of December 2016 and that the firm will be rebranded as Yarra Capital Management.
In his new role at Yarra Capital Management, Hershan will join former Future Fund head, Mark Burgess, who takes on the role of independent chair; Katie Hudson, as head of Australian equities research and small cap PM; Roy Keenan, as head of fixed income and multi-sector; and Brett Davidson, as chief operating officer.
