Yarra appoints fixed interest manager

Yarra Capital Management has recruited a new investment manager to join the firm's fixed-income team.

Yarra has appointed Jessica Ren for the role, hiring from Westpac.

At the big four bank, Ren worked as a rates strategist responsible for analysing the global and domestic rates market.

She joined Westpac's financial markets & treasury team in 2020.

There, she gained broad experience across institutional sales, credit trading and treasury operations.

At Yarra, Ren will work closely alongside the co-head of Australian fixed income Darren Langer to support the management of the firm's fixed income and cash portfolios with a focus on macro, rates and sector allocation matters.

"We are excited to welcome Jessica to the team as we continue to build out what is already one of Australia's largest independent, active fixed-income franchises," said Langer.
