WTW has recruited a learning and development lead for its Australia and Asia investments teams.

In the new role, Lisa Gulesserian will leverage global WTW initiatives and share her insights and perspectives from over 16 years' experience in the professional development field.

Reporting to WTW's UK-based global investments learning and development director Georgina Hammond, she will help the Australian and Asian teams place more emphasis on professional training.

Importantly, Gulesserian's remit is to drive learning and development across a spectrum of leadership and professional development topics of importance to Investment professionals.

"The technical skills are important, equally important are leadership skills. This is about strengthening leadership capability such as influencing outcomes, client relationship management and communication skills," she said.

While her role is to develop the team's leadership skills, Gulesserian will also ensure that inclusion, equity and diversity are built into the firm's programmes. "Inclusive leadership is essential," she said.

"Lisa is a valuable addition to our team and her appointment is a key part of focusing on our employee value proposition in our Australian business. Our desire for continuous people development is essential for us to continue to deliver innovative solutions to our clients," said WTW's local investment head Aongus O'Gorman.

"We believe WTW is a great place to work and grow, and we are excited to have a person dedicated to fostering this."

Originally from Canada, Gulesserian has previously worked at KPMG and EY.
