WT Financial Group has appointed a corporate wellbeing presenter as a non-executive director to replace Michael Harrison on the board.

Harrison has signalled his intention to retire from the board to focus on external commercial interests.

Chelsea Pottenger runs the corporate performance and well-being and coaching platform EQ MINDS which she founded in 2016.

The firm trains people across several industries, including in financial services.

Before founding EQ MINDS Pottenger held senior positions in the product divisions of global healthcare and medical device companies for over a decade, including at US giant Johnson and Johnson.

"We're so excited that Chelsea has accepted our offer to join the WTL board. She brings an entrepreneurial flare and terrific track record of success that we know will add value," said WT managing director Keith Cullen.

"That she has not previously worked directly in financial services is a key benefit as we continue to pursue fresh ideas to redefine paradigms in our profession and re-imagine the relationship between advice practices and their licensee.

"That said, Chelsea is well known to many in financial services - and the corporate world more generally, through her extensive work with leading brands as a keynote speaker and performance and wellbeing coach."

"A special thanks goes out to Michael Harrison for his contributions since joining WTL when we acquired Sentry back in 2021," said Keith Cullen, WT Financial managing director.

"Michael has added a wealth of knowledge of advice practice management along with deep experience in mergers and acquisitions during his tenure, and we wish him continued success in his external business and personal endeavours that he is focused on."

Cullen welcomed Pottenger to the board, stating: "She brings an entrepreneurial flair and terrific track record of success that we know will add value. Commenting on the appointment, Pottenger said: "I'm thrilled to be joining the board of WTL and excited by the opportunities ahead," she said.

"I am looking forward to bringing fresh perspectives and collaborating with a dedicated team, ensuring WTL remains at the forefront of the dynamic financial landscape to deliver favourable results for the Company and the advice practices it supports."
