Advisory, broking and solutions firm, Willis Towers Watson, has announced the appointment of Scott Kirkwood as corporate risk and broking (CRB) leader for Queensland, effective immediately.

In this role, reporting to head of CRB for Australia Andrew Boal, Kirkwood is responsible for driving the firm's overall CRB growth strategy, value proposition, and talent acquisition and development in the Queensland market.

Commenting on the appointment, Boal said: "Scott is a proven leader who has a great reputation within our organisation and strong credibility in the marketplace. His track record of managing key client relationships and driving business growth will be a great asset as he leads our CRB operations in Queensland, as will his strong people management skills."

Kirkwood joined Willis Towers Watson in 2001, and most recently held the role of global client advocate responsible for the coordination of Willis Towers Watson's services to major global clients. Previously he held the roles of national mining practice leader and Queensland corporate team leader, and was the servicing broker for a range of Queensland-based corporate accounts.
