Anthony Miller, currently the chief executive for Deutsche Bank Australia and New Zealand, has been named the new CEO of Westpac Institutional Bank.
Miller was also the co-head of the investment bank in Asia Pacific.
"Anthony has extensive global experience in institutional banking and, with his international background, will also bring broader risk management experience to the team," said Westpac group CEO Peter King. "He has been in client-facing roles for the past 20 years and has deep banking and financial markets experience, which will be invaluable as we work to further strengthen our relationship switch our corporate and institutional clients."
Miller joined Deutche Bank just over three years ago following 16 years at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong. He concluded his time as managing director in early 2017.
He began his career as a commercial lawyer and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Queensland University of Technology.
