Westpac chair, Lindsay Maxsted, has announced that Brian Hartzer will succeed Gail Kelly as group CEO. Hartzer is currently chief executive, Australian Financial Services, responsible for Westpac Group's retail, business banking and wealth businesses, including Westpac Retail & Business Banking, St. George Banking Group and BT Financial Group. He will move into the top job in February 2015 when Kelly steps down after seven years in the role.
