Westpac information chief to depart

Anastasia Cammaroto is stepping down from her role as chief information officer for consumer, strategy, and enterprise services at Westpac.

Cammaroto has been with Westpac and BT Financial Group since 1997. She became head of technology for investment management and accounting in 2004. She moved to the Westpac brand as chief information officer for the consumer bank in 2017.

She comes to finance through a different path, with a background in electrical engineering. She joined the Bankers Trust Australia asset management team to work on its futures trading systems.

"In all these transitions, my desire to make a difference via technology and to work with smart, passionate, talented people has remained a priority," she wrote on LinkedIn. "I have had the support of a great company, many fantastic leaders and even more great colleagues - and I thank every single one of you."
