Western Asset appoints Client Service Executive

Global fixed-income manager, Western Asset, has announced the appointment of James Metcalfe as client service executive following the promotion of Jonathan Baird to the role of head of Australia and New Zealand client service and marketing.

Metcalfe, who has over 12 years' experience in financial services, most recently worked at BNP Paribas in an institutional business development role.

In his new role, Metcalfe will be responsible for Western Asset's institutional consultant and distribution efforts across Australia and New Zealand, continuing to build upon Western Asset's client base within the region.

Commenting on his appointment, newly-appointed head of Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) client service & marketing, Michael Dale, said: "We are very excited to have James Metcalfe join our Melbourne team, he has a well-established network across the institutional channel and his technical approach resonates well with asset owners and consultants alike.
