Warne departs ASX board

Longtime director Peter Warne has retired from the board of the ASX.

He joined the organisation in 2006 following its merger with the Sydney Futures Exchange.

The departure was announced during the ASX AGM. "Also unanimously endorsed is our gratitude to Peter Warne, who is retiring from the Board at the end of this AGM after 14 years' service," said chair Rick Holliday-Smith.

"We thank him for his wisdom, expertise and dedication, and wish him the best for the future."

Warne holds positions on several boards, including as chair for Macquarie Group and Macquarie Bank.
