Warakirri expands sales team

Warakirri Asset Management has added Melanie Fairbairn to its retail distribution team as regional manager.

Fairbairn joins from State Street Global Advisors, where she was a regional manager.

Previously she worked in business development roles at Generation Life, Iress and Colonial First State and as a financial planner at ANZ Bank.

Reporting to Ben Williams, head of private wealth, who joined Warakirri last November, Fairbairn is tasked with expanding the firm's relationships in the family office, high net worth, and retail advisory markets in Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania.

Warakirri distribution head Stuart Devlin said Fairbairn's experience with sophisticated advisers who demand differentiated quality solutions, will help deliver the fund's ambition to provide unique investment solutions in the retail market.
