Vontobel AM strengthens Australian insto business with new hire

Global multi-boutique investment manager, Vontobel Asset Management, has confirmed the appointment of Andreas Faeste as an executive director, effective January 2018.

In this role, Faeste is responsible for broadening the firm's client reach in Australia and New Zealand and will focus on the distribution of fixed income capabilities.

Faeste has more then 20 years' experience in institutional sales in the Australian market, with a focus on fixed income. Prior to joining Vontobel, he was engaged by firms including Voya Investment Management, Perennial Investment Partners and Deutsche Asset Management through his marketing firm.

His previous roles include: head of institutional business at ING Investment Management, head of equity distribution at JF Infrastructure, head of business development and marketing at IAG Asset Management, and head of institutional business at Westpac Investment Management.
