The $70 billion Victorian Funds Management Corporation has hired Jesse Oliver as an assistant portfolio manager.
At the quasi-sovereign wealth fund, Oliver will be working in the portfolio strategy and asset allocation team using his macroeconomic research and modeling skills.
He has had more than ten years of industry experience previously working at Cbus Super Fund and ISPT.
At ISPT, Oliver was the manager of macroeconomics and markets.
He joined the real estate investment giant from Cbus Super where he worked as a senior analyst for almost two years.
In 2016, he spent two years at the Australia Industry Group as a macroeconomist.
Earlier on, he worked as a quant at Australian Energy Markets Operator.
Oliver began his career in 2009 as a credit analyst with National Australia Bank.
Commenting on the appointment, a VFMC spokesperson said the fund was "very pleased to have Jesse join us."
