VICTORIAN SUPERANNUATION FUND
Date: January 2017
Position: Chair

VicSuper has announced that long-standing board director, Christine Stewart, has been appointed as chair, effective January 2017.

Stewart's appointment follows the departure of former chair, Bruce Harnett, who stepped down from the role in late December 2016.

Stewart joined the VicSuper board in 2009 and has served on the fund's Audit Committee and is currently a member of the fund's Investment and Remuneration Committees. She also spent 12 years as the deputy secretary of the Australian Education Union.

Also taking on a new board position is Wayne Kayler-Thomson, who was recently appointed as deputy-chair.

Commenting on the board changes, VicSuper CEO, Michael Dundon, said: "Christine and Wayne have an excellent understanding of the Fund, our members and are committed to optimising member outcomes. This is a very exciting time for VicSuper and I look forward to working closely with both Christine and Wayne as we continue to execute our growth agenda."
