The new board for the combined First State Super and VicSuper features many familiar faces.

Gabrielle Bell, a corporate lawyer and director, continues on as a director with the new organisation. She joined VicSuper as a director in 2017.

Bell also holds directorships at V/Line Corporation, the South East Water Corporation, and InLife Independent Living Ltd.

She has previously held legal positions at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Linklaters Allen & Gledhill.

Bell is joined by Patricia Faulkner, Antoinette Masiero, and Travis Bates on the new board. Sue Carter and Rod Harty have stepped down from the First State Super board.

"Prior to the merger, it was agreed that the composition of our Board would reflect the membership of the merged fund," said chair Neil Cochrane. "We are pleased to welcome four VicSuper directors to the Board and acknowledge with gratitude the contribution of those VicSuper Directors and First State Super Directors who now step down following the successful merger."

The merged fund clarified that while the fund operations, investments, and employees are part of one single entity, the VicSuper brand remains in the market.
