VFMC Head of Internal Australian Equities to leave industry

Silvio Gasparet has confirmed his departure as head of internal Australian equities at Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC), effective 7 February 2017.

Gasparet told Industry Moves that he left the firm on good terms and will be embarking on a new role, outside of the finance industry, in the coming weeks.

A spokesperson for the firm has confirmed that VFMC will review their business needs in the short to medium term before commencing any formal recruitment process, in the interim Peter Cumming will act as head of VFMC's Internal ASX50 team.

Cumming as been with VFMC since August 2008 and was most recently the portfolio manager Australian equities in the ASX50 team.
