The Victorian Funds Management Corporation has confirmed the appointment of Shali Lingaretnam as head of investment stewardship after acting in the role since last July.
She replaces Talieh Williams has resigned as head of investment stewardship at the quasi-sovereign wealth fund to work as an independent adviser.
Lingaretnam initially joined VFMC in May 2020 as a senior portfolio manager where she managed the external mandates of Australian stocks.
Before joining VFMC, she was the head of investments at CCI Asset Management, where she managed $2 billion across multiple asset classes and was responsible for asset allocation and security selection.
Lingaretnam has more than 20 years of market experience including stints at Macquarie Bank, Aviva, Lonsec, and IOOF Investment Management.
