Vanguard Australia appoints Shrimski as new head

Vanguard Australia has announced that Daniel Shrimski will return from the US to become managing director.

Current managing director, Frank Kolimago, will relocate to the US to become global head of talent management. Kolimago has been managing director in Australia since 2018.

Shrimski started with Vanguard Australia as chief financial officer in 2011 and his most recent role within Vanguard was chief financial officer for Vanguard's International business, based in the US.

"Vanguard has a long history in Australia and the support we have received from the financial advisory industry is testament to the value we aim to provide to investors through our low cost, diversified and long-term investment philosophy. It is humbling to see the growth in our ETF business in the four years since I left Australia and the trust that investors are placing in Vanguard. I couldn't be more excited for what lies ahead," Shrimski said.
