UniSuper recruits Toby Bourke

The $108 billion superannuation fund for higher education and research workers has further expanded its in-house trading and execution expertise with the appointment of Toby Bourke to its Australian equities team.

Reporting to Penny Heard, head of Australian equities, and John Hood, trading and execution manager, Bourke will be responsible for the execution of UniSuper's $41 billion internal direct equities portfolios.

Heard replaced Simon Hudson as the head of Australian equities following his departure in June.

Bourke joins from Bell Asset Management, where he was head of trading for three years.

He also has extensive trading experience through his roles at Balyasny Asset Management, BTIG, Morgan Stanley and Ord Minnett.
