UniSuper appoints Senior Analyst - Global Strategies & Quant Methods

UniSuper has appointed Rob Hogg as head of global strategies and quant methods, replacing David Schneider who will continue to work with UniSuper as a freelance consultant.

Hogg joins UniSuper from Frontier where he has spent the last eight years as head of capital markets and asset allocation, responsible for investment and manager research and advising clients on investment and asset allocation issues.

Hogg is one of three investment team hires announced by UniSuper. The others are former JP Morgan analyst, Jarrod McDonald who will initially cover telecommunications, IT and consumer discretionary, and senior analyst Lou Capparelli.

Commenting on the appointments, CIO John Pearce said: "Our ongoing success is due in large to the achievements of our in-house investment team, who are each tasked with managing our members' money wisely. We wouldn't be able to continually achieve positive long-term outcomes for our members, if we didn't have a team of great people making smart decisions."
