Jarrod McDonald has joined UniSuper's investment team as a senior analyst, initially responsible for telecommunications, IT and consumer discretionary for the fund.
McDonald previously spent six years at JP Morgan as lead telecommunications, media & online analyst. Before that he worked for Citigroup, Goldman Sachs JB Were and Lonsec.
He is one of three investment team hires announced by UniSuper. The others are former Frontier analyst, Rob Hogg who has been appointed head of global strategies and quant methods, and senior analyst Lou Capparelli.
Commenting on the appointments, CIO John Pearce said: "Our ongoing success is due in large to the achievements of our in-house investment team, who are each tasked with managing our members' money wisely. We wouldn't be able to continually achieve positive long-term outcomes for our members, if we didn't have a team of great people making smart decisions."
