U Ethical has bolstered its fixed income team by hiring Amanda Lim as a portfolio manager.
Lin has more than eight years of experience in quantitative analysis and funds management, specialising in Australian fixed income, global credit, and global sovereign debt strategies.
She joins U Ethical from Omega Global Investors where she managed portfolios end to end, from research and data management to portfolio construction, compliance and implementation.
Earlier, Lin worked for National Australia Bank conducting risk-return analysis.
Jon Fernie, the deputy investment head of the $1.4 billion fund manager said Lin's skillset will enrich the team's strategy.
"Delivering alpha on a risk-adjusted basis is especially important during the current uncertainty and low-interest rate environment,"
"Amanda's actuarial background and experience as a fund manager mean she can take her mathematical, economic, and financial analysis skills to minimise portfolio risk while seeking yield.
"Furthermore, our growing interest in green and sustainability-linked bonds and Amanda's expertise in this field means she'll be well placed to contribute to the ongoing evolution of our ethical and ESG stance."
Lin assists several non-profit organisations as an advisory board member.
