U Ethical builds up sales team

U Ethical Investors continues to build up its distribution team by appointing two executives to run client services and adviser relationships.

The asset manager has recruited John Hondros as a client service and relationship manager and Helen Corcoris to support advisers.

The appointments follow the recent hire of Morningstar Australasia ESG strategist Erica Hall, who joined the executive team as distribution head.

They also follow the exit of David Brennan, who left the distribution team to take up a role within AustralianSuper's intermediary business two months ago.

In the new role, Hondros will focus on supporting clients and managing and improving the client experience end-to-end.

He joins from Mercer, where he was a senior associate responsible for providing financial advice to Mercer Super Trust and standalone clients.

Specifically, Hondros' job was to develop strategies and plans that meet the needs of the clients' circumstances.

He previously spent seven years at SMSF Advisers Network primarily as national operations manager, but he also served as a financial adviser and the responsible manager.

Earlier, Honduras held a wealth adviser role at National Australia Bank and a risk adviser at iSelect.

For her part,  Corcoris will work closely with U Ethical's financial adviser network.

She joins from Magellan Asset Management, where she looked after the Victorian and Tasmanian adviser networks. 
During her career, she has worked in client and adviser supporting roles at Vanguard and JB Were.

Separately, U Ethical has hired Chris Harris as a senior equities analyst.

Harris spent nine years at UniSuper, working across the asset owner's mainstream and sustainable investment portfolios.

Before that, he worked in Mercer's investment consulting business and at global fund manager BlackRock.
