Tony Barber joins JLT as Chair of Specialty

Risk and Insurance provider, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) has announced the appointment of Tony Barber as chair of specialty in Australia.

Barber recently resigned as chair and CEO of Willis Towers Watson's Australasian business and will join JLT in March 2017. In the new role he will be responsible for leading business development and report to JLT Australia and New Zealand CEO, Leo Demer.

Commenting on Barber's appointment, Demer said: "Tony is a well-known and respected figure in the industry, with an outstanding reputation as a strong business leader. He shares JLT's 'client first' values and brings a wealth of market experience gained throughout his career, both here and globally, in shaping brokerage markets. I am delighted to welcome him to JLT."
