Priya Patel joins TelstraSuper from Frontier, where she was a the senior responsible investment adviser.

In the new role, she will report to David Humphreys, head of sustainable investment.

Patel is a member of the Certification Assessment Panel at the Responsible Investment Association Australasia, responsible for administering the Responsible Investment certification program and approving all certified products.

She has previously worked and has been a member of the Cultural Heritage Risk Management Working Group a council member at the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors and ESG manager - investment stewardship at the Victorian Funds Management Corporation.

She has deep experience in corporate governance, having worked as group sustainability manager at Westpac and ANZ, stationarity strategy adviser at Australia Post and as an environmental analyst at Eurofins.

Earlier this year, TelstraSuper backed Apostle Funds Management's new global carbon credit fund, which offers exposure to carbon prices through five major global markets.

The Apostle Global Carbon Credit Fund offers exposure to global carbon markets for sophisticated and institutional investors and will seek to outperform a global carbon benchmark by at least 2% p.a. net of fees over rolling 5-year periods.
