TelstraSuper has promoted Caroline Stuart to the role of property portfolio manager.

Stuart joined the superannuation fund for the telco workers just two years ago as an investment analyst and was quickly promoted to associate portfolio manager -  real assets.

She joined from PwC where she spent three years working in the firm's real estate advisory section dealing with property developers, not-for-profit agencies and professional services organisations.

Stuart won The Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees Rising Star Award in 2022 which recognises investment leaders of the future.

At the time, AIST chief executive Eva Scheerlinck said Stuart was a worthy winner of this award for demonstrating her deep commitment to the retirement outcomes of fund members

Scheerlinck noted that as an analyst, Stuart had established an internal committee of her peers to foster investment discussions and share knowledge across investment classes.

She also helped to develop an internship program for the investment management team, which would provide learning and development opportunities in investments for new entrants to the superannuation industry.

"As expected of a Rising Star recipient, Caroline is committed to professional development and has sought to develop herself across technical competencies and relationship management by taking a holistic approach to her career progression to ensure she can make a meaningful contribution to the wider investment management team," the AIST chief said.

"As a valued member of the TelstraSuper investment team, Caroline has demonstrated a deep interest in, and aptitude for, investment of members' superannuation savings through bringing strong contributions to her asset class."
