The New South Wales government's investment and financial management arm has added a senior investment manager to its partner election team.

William Bahramali has jumped across to Tcorp as a senior investment manager.

Bahramali arrived from Resolution Life where he looked after $4 billion in funds that backed the Australian unit-linked products.

Before that, he worked at QBE Insurance for eight years as an investment planning and solutions manager.

Reporting directly to the group chief investment officer, he had broad oversight across the investment function.

He conducted performance and strategy reviews of portfolio segments, implemented new initiatives, and produced board reporting and investment strategy papers for investment, risk and capital committees.

At the insurer, Bahramali was a member of the investment management team.

The TCorp recruit previously also worked at HFO ( Head Fund Operations)

As a senior analyst, he was responsible for shadow fund accounting, performance attribution, risk analysis and portfolio rebalancing for small/medium size hedge funds.

In a social media post, Bahramali said he led the onboarding process for new clients, allowing the company to expand from 4 to 12 hedge fund clients in 12 months.

Earlier, he spent two years at Credit Suisse as an operations analyst.
