TCorp appoints former Westpac exec to balance sheet team

NSW Treasury Corporation (TCorp), the funds management and debt issuance arm of the NSW Government, has announced the appointment of Gavin Sinnott as senior manager balance sheet, effective May 2017.

Sinnott joins TCorp from Westpac, where he was director of rates trading. He will report to Fiona Trigona, TCorp's head of funding and balance sheet.

Commenting on his appointment, Trigona said she was "delighted to welcome someone of Sinnott's calibre and experience to the TCorp balance sheet management team."

"Gavin is a highly respected figure in Australian capital markets - his expertise will be valuable as we continue the work of optimising TCorp's debt issuance and funding program...we expect Gavin will have an important contribution to make in growing the investor base for TCorp debt issues, minimising costs and driving financial performance through strategic risk positioning."
