Date: March 2019
Position: Chief Investment Officer

Tasplan has announced that Ian Lundy has resigned as chief investment officer of the $9 billion super fund.

Lundy was previously chief investment officer of the Retirement Benefits Fund (RBF), having joined the fund in March 2011, and played a key role in its 2016 merger with Tasplan. He was appointed CIO of the merged fund in September 2016.

Commenting on his service, Tasplan chair Naomi Edwards said: "The bringing together of multi-billion-dollar investment funds over the last number of years has been a complex process and I thank Dr Lundy for his dedicated stewardship of our members' assets and for this very successful contribution to the retirement outcomes of Tasmanians."

Lundy added: "It is with some sadness that I announce my departure from the organisation, but with the fund now stabilised after the [merger] it is time for me to move onto new challenges."

A spokesperson for Tasplan said the fund will be using its "internal succession plan" to fill the role.
