TAL appoints GM for Health Services
Life insurer TAL has appointed Sally Phillips to the newly-created role of general manager for health services.
Phillips has experience working in both the life and medical industries through senior roles in Australia, the UK and South Africa. Most recently, she had a short stint as head of life product & strategy at Comminsure and before that was divisional director & head of underwriting, claims and insurance proposition at Macquarie Life.
In the new role, Phillips will be responsible for TAL's Health Sense: Fit for Life proposition, and will work closely with the firm's innovation, marketing and distribution teams.
Commenting on the appointment, TAL COO Justin Delaney said: "The life insurance sector clearly has a role to play in encouraging and rewarding healthy behaviours. Our industry is changing and the benefits we provide are evolving to ensure people are given the best support to get back to living the life they want and achieving their desired lifestyle. We believe Health Sense: Fit for Life will be a program that will make a difference in this space and it will evolve with new initiatives and tools with Dr Phillips having a significant input into this."
