T. Rowe Price boosts local team

The US$1.3 trillion asset manager has hired Sydney-based Alycia Vassallo as a senior consultant relationship manager following a period of strong growth across local markets.

Reporting to Cassandra Crowe, head of consultant relations for Australia and New Zealand, Vassallo will mostly focus on research house coverage of T. Rowe Price's range of Australian unit trusts and separately managed accounts.

Vassallo has joined global asset manager from UBS Global Asset Management where over the past decade she covered equity and fixed-income asset classes, across a range of active strategies as a consultant relationship manager.

Before that, she spent six years at Perennial Investment Partners

Crowe said T. Rowe Price has experienced robust growth in Australia and New Zealand in recent years driven by increasing client demand for the firm's expanded capabilities global equities and fixed income.

"With Alycia's extensive experience, we are confident she will contribute significantly to the firm's ongoing growth by partnering with the research house and consultant community."

T. Rowe Price currently offers a range of investment strategies, Australian unit trusts and separately managed accounts to institutional and wholesale investors.

"We cater to diverse client needs with its flagship global equities suite, including the recently launched Global Impact Equity strategy, as well as its global fixed income suite, which encompasses the Global High Income, Dynamic Global Bond, Global Government Bond, and Global Aggregate Bond strategies," she added.
