Synchron appoints new Compliance Manager

Independent financial planning group Synchron has appointed Michael Jones to the role of compliance manager.

Jones was formerly director of compliance for UBS Wealth Management. Before this, he held compliance roles with IFM Investors and National Australia Bank.

Commenting on the appointment, Synchron director Don Trapnell said: "We are delighted to have someone of Michael's calibre joining the Synchron family. Michael brings a wealth of experience to the role, which will be based in Melbourne, and his appointment comes at a pivotal point in Synchron's history."

Jones will replace Synchron's current head of compliance John Prossor, who, according to the firm, will focus on his responsibilities as a Synchron executive director.
