Victoria Funds Management Corporation has promoted a raft of investment staffers, including a portfolio manager.

After just two years at VFMC, Ian Furphy is now a portfolio manager.

He previously worked at Netweath, IFM Investors and ANZ.

Moreover, four of his colleagues - Alexandra Ngo, Jeremy Goh, Liam Hennessy and Vaishnavi Ramu - have been elevated to assistant portfolio manager.

Ngo, who works on the infrastructure side, has spent almost three years at VFMC, arriving from National Australia Bank and JB Were.

For his part, Goh has been with the Victorian quasi-sovereign wealth fund for seven years.

Previously he was with MTC Asset Management and EY.

Hennessy works with the fund's property team, arriving from Urbis two years ago, and Ramu, who has been with the fund for eight years, is a portfolio execution specialist.

As for the analysts, Bushra Mumin, David Aliday Hunter Shen and Kai Hewat can now add 'senio'r to their title.

Congratulating the investment professionals on their promotions, VFMC said its culture prioritises successful careers while living balanced lives.

"VFMC is proud to provide opportunities and pathways for our talented team members to develop their careers with us, the fund said.

Meanwhile, Aware Super, AustralianSuper and Australian Retirement Trust are beefing up their performance data and reporting teams.

Neil Campbell is starting a new position as a senior analyst with the investment operations team at Aware Super.

The former State Street client services manager worked for JP Morgan for five years.

Also on the risk data and reporting side, AustralianSuper has appointed Haydn Paynter a manager of reporting & analysis for fund services.

He joins from Credit Suisse, where he worked in asset servicing, following eleven years at ANZ.

After four years with Australia's largest superannuation fund, Paul Doig has been promoted to operational risk manager.

In a LinkedIn post, Doig said he is "continuing what started back in 2019 when I joined as the inaugural member of the UK Risk function."

Finally, Ari Wiapo has a new role at Australian Retirement Trust.

He has been appointed performance & optimisation reporting analyst after years of experience in the technology optimisation field.
