Sunsuper appoints new board Director

Sunsuper has announced the appointment of Georgina Williams as an employer representative director on the board of the $56 billion fund.

Williams, who is based in Melbourne, has more than 25 years' financial services industry experience in both banking and superannuation.

Her previous roles have included group executive engagement, advocacy and brand at Australian Super; and head of brand and marketing at the Bank of Melbourne. She has also worked at NAB, in wealth, commercial banking, strategy and marketing roles in both Australia and the UK.

Currently, Williams serves as a non-executive director on the boards of Reece Ltd and Lifestyle Communities Ltd, and was previously the CEO of Food and Wine Victoria.

In welcoming Williams to the Sunsuper board, recently-appointed chair, Andrew Fraser, said: "Ms Williams' appointment will complement the diverse and significant pool of talent that already sits on the Sunsuper board."

Williams replaces former director, Theresa Moltoni, as one of the three Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) appointees on the Sunsuper board.
