JP Morgan has confirmed that Steven Maartensz has resigned as co-head of cash equities after almost five years with the firm.
Maartensz joined the US banking giant from Goldman Sachs where he worked for 16 years, exiting as co-head of equities distribution for Australia and New Zealand.
Press reports indicate that he is headed for Barrenjoey Capital to join Dyson Bowditch, who runs the firm's equity capital markets team. Bowditch jumped to JP Morgan at the same time as Maartensz, also from Goldman Sachs.
Meantime, Barrenjoey has confirmed the appointment of Sarah Leven-McGrane.
Leven-McGrane was an executive director at Goldman Sachs.
