StatePlus, the financial planning arm of $84 billion fund First State Super, has confirmed to Industry Moves the promotion of David Coyne to the role of general manager, product, solutions and implementation, effective November 2017.
Coyne was previously StatePlus' head of product, a role he was appointed to in March 2012. Prior to that, he was head of separately managed accounts at Next Financial, and spent 11 years in various roles at MLC.
Commenting on his new role, Coyne said: "I'm excited by the opportunities ahead for StatePlus and First State Super. I'm also passionate about helping Australians to meet their retirement expectations, a goal shared by the high-calibre team I'm working alongside."
