Private markets investor Stafford Capital Partners has appointed an executive from a top Dutch pension provider to lead its sustainability efforts.

In her new role, Marta Jankovic will work with Stafford's investment committees shaping its sustainable investing strategy and engaging with clients, policy and industry stakeholders.

She will report to chief executive Angus Whiteley and live in Rotterdam.

Jankovic joins from APG Asset Management, one of the world's largest pension investors, where she was responsible for leading ESG research and insights.

She also advised the private markets teams on implementing European Union's sustainability regulation.

Earlier, Jankovic was a director in BlackRock's investment stewardship team, leading ESG research and insights, voting and public company engagement.

Stafford has $7.9 billion in assets under management and advisement.
