State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has confirmed the departure of Peter Mitchell from the role of head of distribution and managing director, Australian and New Zealand, effective March 2016.
Commenting on Mitchell's departure, Lochiel Crafter, SSGA's head of Australia and Asia Pacific, said: "We decided to remove a layer of management within the SSGA Australian relationship management team. We no longer have a head of Australian relationship management role. Instead we have three client relationship teams dedicated to the three distinct groups within our client base: institutional investors, retail investors & intermediaries, and ETF investors. These three teams report directly to me. We believe this move makes sense for our clients."
