SSGA appoints Senior Portfolio Manager

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), has announced the appointment of Bruce Apted as a senior portfolio manager in its active quantitative equities team based in Sydney, effective September 2017.

Apted has 24 years' experience in portfolio management and research, working at a number of financial organisations including: Bankers Trust, Macquarie Group, Denning Pryce and Fidante.

Commenting on his appointment at SSGA, head of active quantitative equities Asia Pacific, Toby Warburton, said: "Bruce has very strong credentials in active equities and quantitative investing. His most recent work involved developing a benchmark unaware, global equity fund, so his skills are closely aligned to the goals we have for our Australian and global strategies."
