The superannuation fund continues to fill staffing gaps ahead of a merger with CareSuper to create a $45 billion entity.

While the fund is specifically looking to beef up its investment team, it has added a manager of product and innovation to its superannuation fund's product team and a senior ESG analyst.

After 15 years at Cbus Super, Chris Tang has switched to Spirit Super to join the products team.

He started as an investment analyst at Cbus before taking up the role of product manager retirement and investment - a role he carried out for more than six years,

In a post on social media, Tang thanked his new colleagues for the warm welcome.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all my friends that I made in the last 15 years while I worked at Cbus. It is my privilege to be able to work with and learn from so many talented people.

"I am ever so grateful for the opportunities that Cbus provided to me for me to learn and grow in so many different areas."

Meantime, Aoife McCarthy has been promoted to senior investment analyst of ESG integration and impact after just nine months with the fund.

Before joining Spirit Super, McCarthy worked as an ESG Analyst at the Amsterdam-based Sustainalytics.

She also worked as a sustainability consultant at CBRE Nederland after interning at Climate Action 100+ in Australia.
