Senior Portfolio Manager departs CFSGAM

Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) has confirmed the departure of senior portfolio manager Francois Kong, as well as two other members of the fixed income team.

Kong had been a member of the team since it's inception in 2002.

In a statement, the firm said:

"CFSGAM confirms effective immediately some changes to the structure of the Fixed Income team. These changes are a direct result of our continued focus on building a high quality global fixed income platform to meet the evolving and increasingly diverse needs of our clients and to ensure that our best investment thinking, regardless of where it occurs, is applied for the benefit of our clients.

"As a result, Tony Adams, Annette Mullen and Francois Kong have left CFSGAM. We thank them for many years of service to our clients and business and wish them well in the future."
