Senior Equity Program Trader joins Northern Trust

Northern Trust has announced the appointment of Simon McDonough as a senior equity program trader for the firm, effective 5 June 2017.

In this role, and reporting to Robert Arnott, manager for Northern Trust's institutional brokerage business in Asia, McDonough will lead the expansion of Northern Trust's trading desk capabilities in Sydney.

McDonough joins from ITG in Sydney where he was vice president, electronic sales and trading. He has more than 20 years' industry experience trading Asia-Pacific equity markets on both the buy and sell side, working for firms such as Deutsche Asset Management, ABN Amro and JP Morgan.
