Selfwealth has announced three new hires to bolster its executive team in a bid to drive innovation and growth.

The ASX-listed fixed low-cost broker platform has appointed a new head of marketing and communication, a chief experience officer and a technology lead.

The first recruit Samantha Powell has over 20 years of experience in strategic marketing in wealth management and banking.

Joining from Pallas Capital where she held a similar role, Powell has developed and executed high-net-worth and intermediary positioning strategies for Vanguard, National Australia Bank, BT Financial Group and Macquarie Group.

Meantime, Janelle McQueen-Paice joins Selfwealth with a 25-year track record in wealth management, banking, superannuation, and insurance.

Throughout her career, McQueen-Paice has championed a digital-first, customer-centred design approach, leading cross-functional teams in reimagining and transforming customer experiences for BT Financial Group, Westpac, and MLC Life Insurance.

Finally, Cameron McDonald is a seasoned technology leader with more than 30 years in wealth, lending, and insurance.

Before moving into the top tech role, McDonald worked with the SelfWealth tech team as a consultant.

In previous roles with State Street, HSBC, Challenger and Genworth, he built and led tech teams and change programs to deliver new customer solutions, streamline operations and improve the bottom line.

Selfwealth chief executive Craig Keary said the new leaders can drive change.

"We welcome Samantha's strategic approach to marketing and communications and look forward to her contribution towards the continued success of Selfwealth as she has worked in various financial services organisations with experience across both the direct investor and adviser space," he said.

Speaking of the new CXO, Keary underlined McQueen-Paice's experience in customer and product domains, as well as her leadership role in the financial services sector.

"Her tenure as the head of digital and customer experience at MLC Life, as well as her previous roles at BT Financial Group, including national manager customer experience and channel development, showcase her expertise in enhancing customer experiences across well-regulated entities," he added.

"Cameron will be responsible for meeting the technology needs of the business, from building the platform capabilities sought by our customers to cybersecurity."
