The Insignia Financial Group-backed Fairview Equity Partners has added another portfolio manager to its equities team.
Ben Chan has twenty years of industry experience, including eight years as a portfolio manager.
He joins the boutique manager from Schroder Investment Management Australia, where he has co-managed the Australian Concentrated Equities strategy since 2022.
Before his role at Schroders, Chan spent eight years at Evans & Partners, initially in equity research and the last five as a portfolio manager for the concentrated Australian equities product.
For seven years prior, he was a senior analyst at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch and an associate analyst with Goldman Sachs for three years before that.
Fairview Equity Partners portfolio manager Tim Hall said: "We're very fortunate to have attracted an individual of Ben's experience, expertise and integrity.
Hall noted that Chan has previously worked with Leo Barry, and Michael Glenane - two other Fairview managers.
"We're very excited to welcome Ben to the Fairview team," he added.
Fairview exclusively invests in Australian small companies.
The fund is majority-owned by its investment team, with Insignia holding a minority interest.
This strengthens the alignment of interests of the investment team and their aim to maximise returns for investors.
